Your career purpose, in three words:
Granting wild permission
What are you most excited about right now?
I am most excited about the days getting lighter longer
What were some of the biggest obstacles you faced in the past year?
Self doubt, both creatively and personally. Being single in a town of a few hundred people, writing a book, was a strange and amazing experience. On the other side I certainly feel more resilient. But finishing the book, even thinking about the book coming up this Fall – my biggest obstacle is just believing that I am worthy and that it is good enough to share.
List the top habits that keep you feeling like you can take on the world:
Making herbal infusions, dancing every day, doing my morning pages, making coffee in the morning
Any words of encouragement for someone trying to forge their own path?
Begin before you are ready. If you wait to FEEL ready : to start a project, leave something behind, you will keep waiting.
It’s time to dance, and you’re the DJ. What music are you playing?
I am playing Bieber I am always trying to play Bieber I love Bieber.
If I could collab with anyone right now, it would be…
When I need to hit the “reset” button on my life, I…
Take a flower essence and hit my knees in prayer, sometimes right on the damn sidewalk.
I can’t start my day without…
Coffee. It’s real.
I feel the most alive when I…
And lastly: what’s your biggest win this month? Brag about yourself!
My wins are pushing through self hatred. My wins are mundane. My wins are taking out the trash and hanging my coat up. Winning at liking myself is the biggest win.
