Jen Denslow

Welcome back to Tell Me About It: A Biz Babe Interview Series! This month we are hearing from Jen Denslow who is changing lives at Sage Center for Yoga + Healing Arts through the world’s best smelling facials (f’real) and juicy yoga classes!

This series is meant to be an inside look at other babes who are leading incredible lives, to serve as a source of information and inspiration for you to live your dream life! Let’s get after it!

What’s your company / job / “who” you work as?
I work as a yoga teacher and holistic esthetician at Sage Center for Yoga + Healing Arts.

Your career purpose, in three words:

What are you most excited about right now?
I *might* be formulating skin care serums in my secret lair.

What were some of the biggest obstacles you faced in the past year?
Honestly, trying to remain positive and functional in the face of the current political climate.

List the top habits that keep you feeling like you can take on the world:
Being diligent about using organization/productivity tools & todo lists. Reviewing my upcoming day the night before. Practicing yoga. Jasmine green tea or matcha. Meditation.

Any words of encouragement for someone trying to forge their own path?
Don’t forget to build some self-care into your schedule. Read, move your body, meditate, take a bath, journal, whatever fills your cup. If you think you’re too busy for this you need it the most! 15 minutes a day might change your life.

It’s time to dance, and you’re the DJ. What music are you playing?
Bump It – Erykah Badu, Can I Kick It? – Tribe Called Quest, Root Down – Beastie Boys, Electric Avenue – Eddy Grant, Loser – Beck, Wake Up & Live – Bob Marley

If I could collab with anyone right now, it would be…
Abbi Miller, duh. {I’m blushing! <3}

When I need to hit the “reset” button on my life, I…
walk my dogs, practice yoga, take a bath, get a massage or dig in the dirt.

I can’t start my day without…
hugs, warm lemon water and let’s keep it 100: coffee! Is it terrible that I sometimes look forward to my morning cuppa as I’m falling asleep?

I feel the most alive when I…
am in nature.

And lastly: what’s your biggest win this month? Brag about yourself!
I’ve been almost completely booked in the facial room! I also became certified to offer Jade Stone Gua Sha facials. Loving this modality!
