I gigi General Store and Cafe:  31 Western Road, Hove, East Sussex Brighton England BN3 1AF // phone: 01273 728160

This general store and women’s boutique is just perfect.  Their natural materials and fabrics are all drool worthy, Sam bought me an Organic cotton creme colored scarf that I can’t take off, I love it so much.  They have yummy soaps and hand made ceramics and other types of natural objects that a gal like me is prone to crush out on.  Aaaand, upstairs, they have this adorable single-room cafe that offers breakfast, brunch and tea from 10-5 most days.

We sauntered in on a Saturday morning and found ourselves sharing a table with a lovely couple, casually chatting and sharing travel stories. The spot is cozy and every detail is so fresh, and shows their attention to quality. We had yummy tea and they were so helpful in customizing a dish that was both gluten and dairy free for me.  They had a collection of gluten-free cakes, so working around food allergies was totally on their radar. They cook it right in front of you, on their single-counter-“kitchen”. Their menu is traditional English Breakfast, with a healthy, foodie-flare.  This is my favorite meal I’ve had thus far in the UK, and it was under $10USD each!!
